Population aging and rapid automation are jointly reshaping labor markets in major economies, yet their interaction at older ages remains poorly understood. This paper examines how robot adoption shapes post-retirement reemployment among older individuals in China.

We examine how Chinese firms compete for high-skilled talent using novel text-based product market competitor networks and job posting data. We document strong strategic complementarity. a one unit increase in rivals’ high-skilled postings raises a firm’s own postings by 0.6, generating a multiplier of 2.5. This competition is product-market driven, national in scope, and absent for low-skilled workers.

Taking Chinese A-share listed companies from 2013 to 2021 as samples, this paper qualifies the effects of controlling shareholders’ equity pledges on corporate frauds. The results show that controlling shareholders’ equity pledges significantly induces firms to engage in non-compliance and increased the pledge ratio, and disclosure fraud has a greater impact.

This study focuses on examining the mechanisms of industrial agglomeration on industrial carbon productivity. A balanced panel dataset of 281 cities in China is used, covering the period from 2004 to 2020, to assess the combined economic and environmental effects of industrial agglomeration.

Listed agriculture-related enterprises are one of the main bodies promoting agricultural scientific ad technology innovation, while improving its scientific and technological innovation efficiency is affected by multiple factors. Thus, this paper takes 46 listed agriculture-related enterprises in China from 2018 to 2020 as the research object, uses the DEA-Malmquist model to measure their total factor productivity of scientific and technological innovation, and then uses the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) method to explore its main factor combination and the development path of their scientific and technological innovation efficiency.
